Ciutadella sits at the far western end of Menorca, on the opposite side of the island from the airport near Mahón. It is the centre of its own municipality and the island's former capital, with a historic old town of narrow streets, a cathedral and a long natural harbour lined with restaurants. Many groups stay in the town itself or in the coastal resorts around it.
It is the longest of the usual airport transfers: about 48 km along the Me-1 main road, which crosses the island from east to west past Alaior, Es Mercadal and Ferreries. By coach it takes approx. 50–55 minutes, although the actual time depends on traffic, the time of day and whether we stop at several hotels on arrival.
On a drive this long it makes sense for the whole group to travel together in one vehicle. Up to 16 people fit in the minibus; 17 to 29 in the midibus; and larger wedding parties, schools or company groups travel in our 36-, 38- or 56-seat coaches. For bigger groups we combine vehicles.
